About Education Day

India celebrates National Education Day on November 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who served as the first Minister of Education of independent India. On September 11, 2008, the Ministry of Human Resource Development had decided to celebrate November 11 as National Education Day.
BVICAMs Educational Day is an annual event.

Judging criteria:Team leader will watch the game to ensure everybody follows the rules.

  • Wait for somebody to start drawing: One person will draw at a time, and you all take it in turns. It is unlikely that it will be your turn as soon as you start, so be patient and contribute by guessing other people's pictures. At the top, there are a certain number of dashes to indicate how many letters are in the word; they will reveal one letter at a time to give you a hint of the word.
  • Guess the word using the drawing and the dashes/letters on top:You have an unlimited amount of guesses so if you get it wrong you can guess again. If somebody guesses the word, it will say "--- has guessed the word"
  • Pick a word when your turn rolls around:You have the choice of three randomly generated words to draw.Think carefully about what word you want to pick. If you pick an easier, more obvious word, it may be guessed more easily; it will be easier to draw and you will have a lower chance of being votekicked (kicked out by other users). A less obvious word can be good because it will mean that they won't get it so easily.
  • Start drawing your image:Draw the image as clearly as you can and only draw something relating to the chosen word. You have a variety of colours and tools to use to make your drawing better

    • Winners will be declared on 12th Nov, 2020.

    Round 1: This round will consist of 25 questions, duration of the round will be 4 minutes total. The round will happen on Quizziz.com.
    Round 2 and Round 3 will happen on Google Meet consisting of Videos and Photos of various series(Mainly Hindi and English) to guess from.The rounds will be of 12 and 8 questions respectively. Top 9 students will be selected for the 2nd round,and top 3 for the final(3rd) round.

      • Round 1: This round will consist of 30 questions on HTML and CSS. All questions will be in the format of multiple-choice questions. Duration for this will be 30 Minutes Max.
      Round 2: In this round, shortlisted participants from Round 1 will need to design a website based on any one of the competition topics in 90 minutes using permitted development tools.
    1. Rules:
      ● Maximum 2 members per group.
      ● Participants need to design a minimum 3 pages website based on the competition topic.
      ● Students have to design a web-site on any one of the specified topics and present it to the judges. The decision of the judges will be final.
      ● The first page must be your Homepage (Containing LOGO/picture depicting the topic and the website name).
      ● Three pages must be dedicated to your discussion suitable for the website.
      ● The last page must be Information Hub that provides details about:
    2. Limit: Only one (1) submission per team will be judged. If multiple submissions from the same team are received, only the last submission will be judged.
      Cheating: The emphasis of the competition is to create an original website. Therefore, any team found to be cheating, interfering with another team, or interfering with the competition in any form, will be punished with severe point deduction or be immediately disqualified from the competition.
    3. Templates: Templates must be created using any of the following methods:

      1. From scratch.
      2. From creating custom template files with editable and non-editable zones.
      3. Use of any built-in template, template wizard, or template from the internet or any other source is not permitted and is considered cheating.
    4. Permitted Tools: 1- Application software (FrontPage, Publisher, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.)
      2- Programming Language (Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, etc.

    Judging criteria:
    A judge will observe and listen to your arguements and will declare the winner on the basis of Fact of arguements. Topic: Digital Education has taken over traditional education.
    1. No registration fee for the participants.
    2. There will be maximum two members in one team - one speaking For the Motion and the other Against the Motion.
    3. A panel of eminent judges shall judge the competition. In case of any dispute, the decision of the judges would be final.
    4. Each speaker will be allowed to express his or her views for 5 minutes.
    5. Cross questioning is allowed.
    6. The speaker will be evaluated on the criteria of content, diction, eloquence, body language and confidence level.
    7. Facts must be accurate.
    8. In the questioning period, the questioner may ask any fair, clear question that has a direct bearing on the debate.
    9. The debate shall be bilingual, either exclusively in English or exclusively in Hindi.
    10. There is 20 minutes of preparation time from the announcement of a pre-announced topic to the beginning of a debate.
